2nd crowd funding on LiDAR point cloud support and profile tool

Following the successful 1st LiDAR crowd-funding campaign in 2020 (results were made available with QGIS 3.18 and 3.20), a 2nd crowd-funding campaign is planned for the display and analysis of point cloud (LiDAR) and 3D geometry data, including an interactive profile tool

• a very flexible and powerful profile tool for 2D and 3D data and views, including LiDAR and 3D geometry data
• filter tools for LiDAR data over arbitrary attributes
• Eye-Dome rendering effect for more beautiful representations of point clouds in the 2D view
• Support of the COPC format (cloud-optimized point clouds)
• Support of additional LiDAR formats via PDAL library
• Improvements in the 3D view (e.g. saving of the last exited view)

As in the last campaign, the 3 companies LutraConsulting, Hobu and North Road want to cooperate for these further improvements. The goal is to raise 75'000 € through worldwide supporters.
