QGIS 2.10 and 2.8.3 published
With some delay, the QGIS 2.10 release with codename "Pisa" was published on July 26. You can find the list with the most important improvements in the visual changelog. Next to new features, a considerable amount of bugs were fixed. For the first time, several developers could be paid to work full time on bug fixing for a couple of days, which will hopefully result in a better quality of the QGIS 2.10 release, compared to previous releases. We thank all developers, sponsors and testers who worked on or financed these improvements. We used money from donations and sponsorships, such as the Swiss QGIS user group, to pay the developers and one person managing the bug reporting system.
More conservative users (such as companies and governmental organizations) or users who do not want to upgrade too often (with the risk of new bugs) we offer the LTS version QGIS 2.8.3 (codename "Wien"), which was published on August 6. You can find here a list with the recent bug fixes in this release.
