QGIS 2.6 "Brighton" released

QGIS Brighton Splash-Screen

The new version 2.6 "Brighton" was just released. This release was named after the location of one of our recent developer meetings last year. You can find the list of changes and improvements in the visual changelog.

Some improvements deserve extra emphasis: improvements in the print composer (feels more like common graphics software), better DXF export, improved widgets and forms, virtual fields, improved legend tree with the ability to toggle visibility of categories and rules, the possibility to save bookmarks to layer visibility states and reuse them in the print composer.

The QGIS user group Switzerland supports, together with its members, the developments of new features in QGIS along with quality assurance. Substantial financial contributions and development work are made by Swiss QGIS users and developers. Customer requests of Swiss QGIS users can be implemented quickly and efficiently. If you are not yet a member of the Swiss QGIS user group we would like to take the opportunity to remind you about the benefits of a membership. We would be pleased to welcome new members in the coming months. Currently we are approx. 55 members.
